I grew up loving the arts. I was the odd kid who enjoyed opera, ballet, classical music, poetry; and carried these forward into my adult life adding jazz, rock, memoirs and classic literature to the pile.
I also grew up with a great love and respect of nature. One of the most pivotal moments in my young life happened when I was twelve years old, and on a family vacation standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon. It was in that moment that I realized how completely tiny I was in compared to the universe. That moment of awe has never gone away - we are surrounded by beauty, sometimes we just need to be reminded to look at it. |
Seven years ago, I started painting in watercolors as a means to relax and focus my often times rattled mind after a day of work.
The more I painted, the more I fell in love with it. Now it is my passion. I crave retreating to my studio where I can challenge myself to create something new and articulate; or just drop some water and paint on a piece of paper and watch it flow and grow. |
I adore watercolor painting because it never fails to surprise.
My aim is for you to feel my joy in my paintings, for you to find your own surprises hidden among the colors and images, and that my work enhances your story. I invite you to join me in my journey as I continue down this new path to the water(color) fall. |
